Wax Method Tall Dragonfly Urn
A wheel turned urn
with an unglazed dragonfly image. The dragonfly was created after
the urn was turned on the wheel and fired once. The dragonfly was then hand painted with a wax like
substance. Upon glazing, the painted image resists the glaze allowing
the burnt stoneware to reveal the
image.
